Dr. Marilyn Tolbert and Trustee Paige Ring are leaders. In the Saginaw community, they have created a culture of excellence where one student has the power to make a difference. They have raised the standards for our school district.
Under their leadership, a Chisholm Trail High School student with muscular dystrophy was able to score a touchdown at a football game. At Comanche Springs Elementary students were able to build a strong math success by solving over 2 million math problems in the middle of a pandemic where they placed 3rd in the state and 33rd in the nation. Lake Pointe Elementary is leading the way in STEM week embracing science.
These are just a few of the great successes the Eagle Mountain Saginaw ISD has had under their leadership. This is a side from leading the district through a tough time in the middle of a global pandemic.
In addition to serving on the Board of Education, Dr. Tolbert serves as on the Board of Directors of the Eagle Mountain Saginaw Education Foundation. Trustee Ring has worked every single concession stand for PTO. Stays late and cleans up. These two ladies are deep in the trenches of our community.
They give us teachers who encouraged students to leap outside of our comfort zones, where students can chose their own destiny. It’s a place where one student can create change and make a difference. Under their guidance, we have made friends and built families that we will keep for the rest of our lives.
But don’t take my word for it listen to the kids!
